Seen a dodgy ad? Then let us know.

Our website and the prizes are funded by ads which are viewed when you visit our website. These ads are automated via a couple of ad networks that we use and are typically from decent advertisers, retailers and brands that we’d certainly approve of.

Our ad network partners work very hard to ensure that the right ads are displayed but it’s close to impossible to review every ad, so in some instances a dodgy ad may slip through the net.

Recently, one of our Twitter followers brought a dodgy ad to our attention, a clickbait type ad which appeared on our website featuring Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden (see below).

As soon as we were notified, we contacted the relevant ad network partner and they blocked/removed this ad from their network immediately. Apologies to Deborah Meaden on Twitter followed as well as a thanks to Twitter follower Darren Prentice for raising this with us.

This does happen, not just with us but with any website that displays ads. Websites do need to make money and displaying ads certainly helps but we certainly won’t tolerate ads that can damage PrizeDeck, offend our members and upset those whose images have been used without their knowledge.

If you see any ads which you think are dodgy then please let us know. You can contact us here and give us the details: URL, name of advertiser and screenshots similar to the one above would be really helpful.
