The National Lottery launched a new a game called ‘Set For Life’ on 15th March which you can find more about here in our blog. There are 2 draws per week, on Monday and Thursday, for a chance to WIN £10K per month for 30 years! However, after 19 draws there’s still not been a jackpot winner!
There has been no roll over with this game and as you can imagine with no winners to date, players have not been too happy about it. In fact, looking at The National Lottery’s (TNL) social media sites there’s been a bit of a backlash, especially on Twitter.
Last week TNL decided to make a rule change and start to introduce ‘Super Chance’ draws to take place from time to time. These special draws will give you the chance to win the top prize without having to match the full set of numbers. The odds of winning the top prize in a Super Chance draw are 1 in 1,533,939, in comparison to 1 in 15,339,390 in normal draws.
There is no way of increasing your chances of winning the lottery other than playing more lines but the sensible approach is to wait until there is a Super Chance draw an only play it then. Likewise, with the main lottery draw, just wait until it reaches its roll over limit and there’s a guaranteed draw. When this happens your chances of winning are the same, but you stand to win bigger amounts when getting 3, 4, 5 or 5 + the Bonus ball. It makes sense to play only when there’s a Super Draw (Set For Life) or Guaranteed win the Main Draw.
Play sensibly, don’t go mad and only play for a bit of fun.
